# Secret Roles

Each secret is assigned a functional role which indicates what it is used for. Secret roles are customizable. Typical roles might include:

* Login credentials
* SNMP community strings
* RADIUS/TACACS+ keys
* IKE key strings
* Routing protocol shared secrets
